Building a custom home can be frustrating if you do not understand the process. We have had alot of people tell us over the years that they would like to have something built, but didn't know where to begin, so where do you start? What is the most efficient way to insure you are getting the best price? Can we afford what we want? These are very common questions.   3. Evaluate the lot
  4. Select / design a house plan
  5. Create site plan
  6. Make decisions on finishes, veneers, fixtures, hardware and appliances
  7. Define allowance pricing
  8. Select building professionals to bid on project
  9. Compare bids
  10. Award bid
  11. Sign contract and related documents
  12. Obtain engineering
  13. Apply for permits
  14. Close construction loan
